Who we are

“The World of Good” (we, us, our) operates a wholesale business supplying retailers. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse our site, apply for a wholesale account, place orders, or otherwise interact with us.

We manage personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you are a business contact for a retailer, some information we hold relates to you in your professional capacity.

Personal information we collect

  • Wholesale account details (for example, business name, ABN, address, contact name, email, phone, resale information).
  • Order and fulfilment details (billing and shipping addresses, purchase history, delivery instructions).
  • Communications (enquiries, support requests, feedback, testimonials).
  • Payment details processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
  • Marketing preferences (newsletter sign‑ups and unsubscribe choices).

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data (IP address, browser, OS, pages viewed, referring URLs, time on page).
  • Cookie and similar identifiers used for essential site functions, analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising (see Cookies below).
  • Event data about site interactions (for example, page views, add‑to‑cart, checkout, purchases).

SMS marketing and alerts

If you provide your mobile number and expressly opt in, we may send transactional or promotional SMS messages (for example, account notices, order updates, or product offers). Message frequency varies; standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” or following the instructions in the message. We manage SMS in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 and will not send SMS marketing without consent.

When we share personal information

We do not sell personal information. We share it with service providers who help us operate, under contracts requiring confidentiality and appropriate safeguards:

  • Platform and hosting: Shopify and related infrastructure providers.
  • Payments: Shopify Payments and/or other payment processors.
  • Analytics and advertising: Google (Analytics, Ads), Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and TikTok tools.
  • Email and CRM: An email service provider (for example, Mailchimp/Klaviyo) for newsletters and account notices.
  • Logistics: Carriers, couriers, and warehousing/3PL partners for delivery and returns.
  • Professional services: Auditors, advisors, and legal counsel where reasonably necessary.
  • Legal and transactions: Where required by law, or in the context of mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential – secure login, cart and checkout, basic site functions (cannot be disabled).
  • Performance & analytics – to understand site usage and improve performance (for example, Google Analytics).

  • Email and SMS marketing comply with the Spam Act 2003 and always include a functional opt-out mechanism (for SMS, reply STOP or use any other provided opt-out method).

Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (for example, TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and regular updates). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, and manage marketing preferences at any time. Contact us using the details below. If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

International transfers

Our service providers (including Shopify and analytics/advertising platforms) may process information in locations outside Australia (for example, the United States, Canada, EU, or Singapore). We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients protect personal information in accordance with the APPs or comparable safeguards.

Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements (often up to seven years for records). We de‑identify or securely destroy information when no longer required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent changes. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
